At Lexan & Associates, we believe that a well-prepared plan is the foundation of any successful engagement. Our approach is collaborative, working closely with clients to identify key risks and issues during the planning phase. We employ an intelligent, risk-based strategy to ensure maximum effectiveness and focus on areas of significant risk.

Our methodology ensures a holistic understanding of the projects we engage with, addressing financial, operational, programmatic, and competitive risks. We combine historical insights with a dynamic focus on current regulations, emerging needs, and best practices to deliver tailored solutions that align with your objectives.

Quality Assurance

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. Lexan & Associates has implemented robust quality risk management framework in compliance with the International
Federation of Accountants’ (IFAC) International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM) 1 & 2. We adhere to the Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants issued by
the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) and maintain strict internal quality control policies. Our Partners oversee the implementation of our quality control system, reviewing all assignment planning, recommendations, and reporting. As practicing members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), they ensure that all engagements meet the highest professional standards.

To maintain excellence, we invest in continuous professional development for our staff. Regular training programs, targeted seminars, and updates on quality control requirements ensure our team remains equipped to handle diverse assignments and stay current with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements. Our quality control policies and procedures are documented and shared with all staff, and our work practices are subject to regular reviews by ICPAK and our global network,
IECnet.

Independence and Integrity

Independence is a core principle at Lexan & Associates. At the onset of each major assignment, our Partners formally declare their independence from the auditee or subject organization. This extends to spouses and close relations. Any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed immediately, and affected staff are disqualified from
the engagement.

Managing Conflicts of Interest

We are acutely aware of the potential for conflicts of interest, particularly when mandates involve multiple competing entities. Our internal professional guidelines provide clear mechanisms for identifying and resolving such conflicts. In cases where conflicts arise, as defined under the IFAC Code of Conduct, concerned staff are required to disengage immediately. If the firm is deemed culpable, we decline the appointment.

Anti-Corruption Policy

Lexan & Associates maintains a zero-tolerance policy on corruption. All staff are required to sign a strict Code of Conduct that includes robust provisions on anti- corruption, confidentiality, safeguarding, and prevention of sexual harassment. Breaches of this policy are met with strict sanctions to uphold the highest standards of
ethical conduct.
